look who's talking

Since moving to Oklahoma Noah's been a talkative little man... we use these wooden objects from Hobby Lobby, along with tons of flash cards, to help build his vocabulary. He is slowly beginning to combine two words together. So far he has said, 'more drink', 'all done' and 'i poo.' Here is the current list of his vocabulary:

train - tower - chocolate cake - airplane - poo - turtle - truck - shoes - key - cookie - open - park - uh oh - owwww - blocks - oh no - duck - monkey - tree - black - green - blue - purple - yellow - boat - bye bye - bee - bumblebee - bean - toes - nose - music - cheerios - drink - ball - cow - chicken - pig - sheep - more - binky - done - swing - butterfly bubbles - teeth - toothbrush - cross - pen - bacon - cheese - chips - goat - baby - milk - pizza - play - drum - boo boo - bath - mommy - daddy - triangle - veggietales - bob - junior - jonah - juice - dog - knock - banana - barn - up - jump - snow - bear - penguin - bear - rock - fish
That's 80 words!!! Wow... I had no idea it was that many! Way to go Noah! He is definately catching up to his age level. Our therapist said that at 30 months the average is 100-150 words, making 2 - 3 word sentences, and beginning to actually communicate rather than just say the word.

Noah your Aunt Kelli is using some of those same animals in her classroom this year. I am so glad you are enjoying those little wooden pieces. Nana will be on the look out for more. Can't wait to play with them with you.
